Napkin Physics – Deriving Kinematic Equations

Remember that the boxed equations can only be used in situations where the acceleration is constant.  If the acceleration is a function of time then you must go through this process but instead of starting with dv = a dt you will replace a with what the acceleration is defined as.  For example if a = 3t, then you will need to start with dv = 3t dt.
